A Senior C#/.NET Developer is required for a permanent opportunity that will offer an onsite working (5 days per week/flexible). The office location is Manchester.

As an experienced C#.Net Developer you will be joining a growing team that's developing, maintaining, and implementing innovative new features in the software and systems areas. The role will involve the following;

Role and Responsibilities:

  • End to end development lifecycle tasks, including writing technical specifications / documentations

  • Develop new modules and make changes in our existing POS software

  • API Development using ASP.Net Core

  • Provide technical support for Point of Sale hardware and software; peripherals including
    Windows HHT devices (Win Mobile & CE), A4-Receipt-Label barcode printers, barcode scanners, digital weighing scale, and customer display.

  • Provide software and database updates to existing customers

  • Troubleshoot any POS hardware and software issues

  • Managing Credit Card payment integration

  • Integrate 3rd party hardware and software including DLLs when required

  • Reducing business cost by developing and implementing an automated process for deployment and maintenance production environment.

  • SQL database Tuning

  • Disaster recovery in case of database failure

  • Provide L2 and L3 support to our service desk team.

  • High standard of programming in .net development technologies, using VB.Net

  • End to end development life cycle skills - analysis, process mapping, testing, training

  • Confident communication skills - ability to mentor/ lead junior developers

Technical Skills:

  • POS: Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in POS development and maintaining POS software and Microsoft SQL Server Database

  • Software: Microsoft VB.Net (C#), WPF, Microsoft ASP.Net (C#) Core, Power shell scripting, MS SQL, Windows Server 2008, 2012 R2, 2016/19, Microsoft Hyper-V, Oracle Virtual Box, SDLC, System Analyzing, White box and Black box testing. Database design and development.

  • O/S: Windows 7/10/11 Professional /Linux, Windows Server 2008 and 2012.

  • Networks: TCP/IP, DHCP, Troubleshoot LAN and WAN network, Network printers

  • Integrated devices: Integrated Payment Terminals, Digital weighing scale, Barcode scanner, Customer Display, Custom Keyboards etc

  • Application: Strong working knowledge of office applications (i.e. MS Excel, MS Word, Visio, and PowerPoint)

  • Problem Diagnosis skills: i.e., discovery, replication, troubleshooting, resolution, verification, communication and/or escalation as required

  • Work with other IT Teams: Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Integrations, Client Services, Database

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and tasks

  • Able to problem solve independently as well as part of a team

  • Nice to have skills: Windows Active Directory management. Knowledge of VPS and Dedicated Servers, IIS Server. Mobile App Development
